SOL'S COFFEE, which operates quissaco, was founded in 2009 and has been operating a specialty coffee shop based in Kuramae, Tokyo for 15 years.
In 2021, the father of the company's representative, Rieko Arai, suddenly passed away due to COVID-19. This project began when she inherited a metalworking factory that had been in operation for generations in the downtown area of Tokyo.
Since childhood, I have been taught that "Japanese craftsmanship is something we can be proud of on a global scale," and so I decided to create new metal tools for enjoying coffee. I would like to spread Japanese craftsmanship to the world with these Made in Japan coffee tools.
The Japanese tea ceremony phrase "Kissako" means "please have some tea", so how enriching it is to make time to drink tea (coffee). By doing so, you can take a break from your busy daily life, listen to the sounds around you, feel the seasons, and calm your mind.
By making it easy to enjoy delicious coffee drinks, we hope to make coffee more accessible to people and to provide a comprehensive presentation of its greatness and the story of coffee from the producer to the customer's cup.
